Rise and Recline Chairs

There are three different types of chair backs below will explain the difference...

Dual Motor Rise and Recline Chairs (two motors)

Independent control of foot rest and back rest this will allow the user to bring the footrest to any position between vertical and horizontal and allow the user to move the back rest to the preferred position. This will create any position between the footrest and backrest as they are working independently. This chair will also raise and tilt the user to a walk out position. Comes with four buttons on the handset.

The Laura - Two motor rise and recliner powered armchair. With seat height of 15” or 16” the Laura is an ideal choice for the smaller proportioned person. The seat width comes as 18” as standard but the wider version of 20” is available. The Laura dual arm and back height fit nicely around persons of 4’10” to 5’4” in height. The Laura comes as standard with a waterfall back.

The Ongar – (standing chair plus foot elevation). This chair is for those who need standing assistance but no recline facility. When the chair is in the normal seated position the leg support can be raised.

The Abridge – The two motors within this chair enables the back rest and footrest movement to be controlled separately. As a recline-only model it is most suited to those who do not need assistance to stand.

The Braybrooke – Two motor rise and recliner powered armchair. Safe working load of 20 stone (127kgs), seat height of 17” – 20” (43cm-51cm), standard seat width of 20.5” (52cm),  standard seat depth of 19” (48cm) and comes as standard with a waterfall back.

The Hamilton – two motor rise and recliner power armchair. Safe working load of 20 stone (127kgs), seat height of 17” – 20” (43cm-51cm), standard seat depth of 19” (48cm) comes as a standard button back.

The Bentley – two motor rise and recliner power armchair. Safe working load of 25 stone (158kgs), height of 18”-20” (46cm-51cm), choice of coloured leather including French navy blue, chocolate brown, black, cream, and forest green, comes as a standard waterfall back.

The Ratcliffe –two motor rise and recliner power armchair. Seat height of 18”-20” (43cm-51cm), safe working load of 25 stone (158kgs) seat width available in 22” standard, 24”, 26”, or 28”, seat depth approximately 20” (51cm), Comes as a standard Split back

The Bramcote – two motor rise and recliner power armchair, available as 17”-19” (43cm-51cm) seat height, 20” (51cm) seat width and 19” (48cm) seat depth as standard, comes as a standard waterfall back.

The Higham – two motor rise and recliner power armchair, available as 17”-19” (43cm-51cm) seat height, 20” (51cm) seat width and 19” (48cm) seat depth as standard, comes as a standard button back.

The Shire Rise and Recline Chair Collection

Has two buttons on the handset. 2-way – Feet are elevated out slightly above hip height, extremely high leg lift without reclining fully, ideal for swollen legs. 3-way – Backrest reclines to almost horizontal – foot rest elevates straight out in front. Provides an almost flat positioning.

The Minnie – With seat height of 15” or 16” the Minnie is an ideal choice for the smaller proportioned person. The seat width comes as 18” as standard but the wider version of 22” is available. The Minnie arm and back height fit nicely around persons of 4’10” to 5’4” in height. The Minnie comes as standard with a waterfall back.

The Rutland – Complete with ‘3-way’ high lift recline facility it is perfect for people between 20-35 stone (160-220kgs). Crafted with prominent side wings and a split back.

The Boreham – The arms are narrower and lower but run the full length available as 17”-19” seat height 20” seat width and 19” seat depth. Comes standard with a waterfall back.

The Brampton – ‘2-way’ available from seat height of 17” to 19” and have a weight capacity of 20 stone comes standard with a waterfall back.

The Huntingdon – ‘2-way’ seat height range from 17” to 19” and weight capacity of 20 stone comes as standard button back.

The Hutton – The arms are narrower and lower but run the full length available as 17”-19” seat height 20” seat width and 19” seat depth. Comes standard with a waterfall back.

The Kingsbury – ‘3-way’ lift and recline armchair is available in 16” (407mm) or 18” (457mm) come standard with a waterfall back

The Rutland – ‘3-way’ seat height of 18”-20”, seat width 22”-28”, seat depth 19”-22”, for persons up to 25 stone, available in split, waterfall or button back.

The Britannia – ‘2-way’ seat height of 18”-20”, seat width 22”-28”, seat depth 19”-22”, for persons up to 25 stone, available in split, waterfall or button back.
